HIRING LPNs/LVNs FOR OUTPATIENT CLINICS IN SOUTHEASTERN VIRGINIA!
Pay: $15.75/hour
Typical_Shifts: 7am-7pm, 7am-3:30pm, 11:30am-7pm, 1-7pm, 3:30-7pm Mon.-Sat;
7am-7pm Sat.-Sun; Full Time (32+ hrs/week), Part Time (16-20 hrs/week)
and PRN (on call).

Locations: 4 Outpatient Clinics in southeastern Virginia. These clinics provide care to
the military, their families and military retirees. The sites are: BMC Boone
in Norfolk, BMC Oceana in Virginia Beach, and 2 Tricare Prime clinics
in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Graduate of accredited Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse Program.
· Possess a current (or applying for) Virginia Nursing License or if licensed in another state to be eligible via “Nurse Licensure Compact”.
· Have at least 12 months of experience as a LPN/LVN in the last 36 months in one of the following areas: Hospital ER, Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Urgent
Care.
· Dedicated to professional health care in a team based environment.
· Flexibility to work weekends (Sat. or Sat/Sun.) and 12 hour shifts when needed.
Professional Duties:
· Check patients into the clinic and triage using clinical guidelines. Inform the RN,
Physician Extender (Physician Assistant) or Physician of the patient’s condition and potential problems.
* Perform a full range of diagnostic support duties which include taking vital signs;
Collecting specimens; obtaining, recording and tracking results of diagnostic tools.
* Perform a range of treatment procedures that includes sterile dressing changes,
applying compresses, monitoring IV fluids, inserting nasogastric tubes, administering
medications, setting up and giving treatments that requires auxiliary equipment such
as oxygen and suction. Ambulate patients to other areas to include Radiology, Physical
Therapy and various clinics.
* Prepare patients for tests, examinations, treatments, and/or surgery. Collect specimens
As required . Label specimens for laboratory examinations and follow up by using the
CHCS (Composite Health Care System) computer system (training will be provided).
Calling the lab for reports. Alert provider to conditions which deviate from expected findings.
* Perform routine nursing care activities such as taking blood pressures, temperatures,
Baths and hygiene care, and otherwise assist in the care of the physical needs of the
Patient.
* Instruct patients on how equipment is used such as oxygen, suction, cardiac monitor
And pulse oximeter. Instruct patients and family on use of prescribed medications, and
The necessity of proper follow up care.
* Perform immunizations and allergy treatments at some clinic locations |
