Job Description:	The manager is responsible for providing direction and clinical supervision of patient care for the Operating Room and the assigned staff. This position requires a professional caregiver with clinical and supervisory experience that promotes an atmosphere that is responsive to the needs of the patients, nursing, and the medical staff. The Clinical Nurse Manager is knowledgeable about and promotes the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Center. Demonstrates ability to work as a team member and to communicate directly and professionally. Is flexible, reliable, productive, patient oriented, and self motivated. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. He/she is able to identify and categorize each patient’s age-specific grouping of needs. Portrays and promotes the Mission of Scripps Mercy Surgery Pavilion. Communicates with peers in a positive manner. Works to achieve superior customer service. Avoids being involved in and prohibits the spreading of gossip or conversations that promote discord of employees and physicians. Maintains professional conduct and appearance. As a team member, you will play an important role by collaborating with others and contributing toward our mission and values.
