This teaching hospital is associated with world renowned institutions and is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse/Acute Care Clinical Specialist. The responsibilities of this position focus on providing support and direction to the healthcare team. Using clinical research and management expertise, this position assesses comprehensive medical nursing care to assure quality, cost effective patient care. As a vital team member, he/she will work directly with the consumer to manage and improve patient outcomes and quality of care. The qualified candidate will work in partnership with other staff members and physicians to recommend, plan, and implement changes when needed. The qualified candidate is able to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and is flexible in setting priorities. Possesses substantial leadership, clinical, critical thinking, teaching, and interpersonal communications skills (written and verbal). Is computer literate and familiar with word processing applications. Knowledge of JCAHO regulations, QI, as well as policy and procedure required The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: <li>Has a Masters Degree in Nursing. <li>Is registered with and licensed by the Maryland Board of Nursing or multi-compact state. <li>Has a minimum of (5) five years of clinical practice with a minimum of (2) two years of acute care clinical specialist experience. <li>This culturally sensitive nurse will provide guidance to this state of the art facility. <li>Is able to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. <li>Is flexible in setting priorities.
