Job Description:	The Role: Assumes responsibility for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and controlling the operational and functional activities covering nursing care to a specific group of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients in the Emergency Services department consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care departments. Ensuring that the nursing care needs of patients are met within an established standard of quality and performance and that these accountabilities are properly integrated with other Divisions as contained in the Long-Range Plan, Annual Implementation Plan and Management Plan of the Department of Nursing. This position would report to the Assistant Vice President for Emergency & Oncology Services. Ideal Candidate · Master's degree in Nursing and/or related field or related management preferred. BSN from accredited school of nursing. · Requires a minimum of seven years of work experience in Nursing and Nursing leadership in order to master the job details and to obtain knowledge of work processes. · New York State Licensee R.N.
